On Sunday, November 18, as part of the 2018 Balmoral Classic Weekend, there will be a piobaireachd workshop for pipers on the Silver Medal tunes for 2019, conducted by Dr. Angus MacDonald of Glenuig, Scotland. The workshop will take place from 11am to 1pm, at Wyndham University Inn, 100 Lytton St, Pittsburgh, PA, 15233.
The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Angus MacDonald is now a senior adjudicator in Scotland, having won most of the previous competitions including the gold medals at Oban, Inverness, and in Canada, the Inverness Clasp and Senior Piobaireachd at Oban, and the Silver Chanter. In the light music he has, among other prizes, won the March, Strathspey, and Reel competitions at Oban and Inverness.
